Scotland's Planning System: A Community Guide
The planning system in Scotland controls how and where new houses, industry, parks and other developments are built. The system shapes the land around us and affects how we live, work, travel and interact with the environment.
Friends of the Earth Scotland works to influence the Government's planning policy on topics such as housing, waste, micro-renewables and power generation. We don't have the resources to be involved in individual cases across Scotland and rely on local groups and activists to fight local campaigns.
To help local campaigners we have published
Scotland's Planing System: A Community Guide
and this mini-site to aid people seeking to influence developments in their local area.
