We are a campaigning organisation that appeals to all walks of life and brings society together with a shared vision of a better place to live.
Scotland’s leading environmental campaigning organisation
An independent Scottish charity with a network of thousands of supporters and active local groups across Scotland
Part of the largest grassroots environmental network in the world, uniting over 2 million supporters, 77 national member groups, and some 5,000 local activist groups - covering every continent.
Friends of the Earth Scotland exists to help people in Scotland look after the planet for everyone’s future. We think globally and act locally in Scotland, delivering solutions to climate change by enabling and empowering people to take both individual and collective action. We offer help to people with the big things in life – helping to sustain a healthy society and environment. We believe that all of our children’s futures will be better because of what we do.
Our vision is of a world where everyone can enjoy a healthy environment and a fair share of the Earth’s resources.
We are committed to democracy, accountability and equality
We strive to work with communities in our campaigning for positive change
Our work will always be based on objective evidence and a long-term global perspective.
We are an independent Scottish charity that is a member of Friends of the Earth International and Friends of the Earth Europe.
Friends of the Earth England, Wales and Northern Ireland is a separate organisation.
