Friends of the Earth International

We are part of Friends of the Earth International, the world's largest grassroots environmental network, uniting 77 national member groups and some 5,000 local activist groups on every continent.

Friends of the Earth International is a federation of diverse grassroots-based environmental
organisations with over 2 million members and supporters around the world. We
challenge the current model of economic and corporate globalization, and
promote solutions that will help to create environmentally sustainable and socially
just societies.

Friends of the Earth International celebrates its 40th birthday

Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) was founded 40 years ago, on 15 June 1971. To celebrate its 40th anniversary FoEI produced the following materials to highlight its campaigns over the last 4 decades:

Rising Voices

Rising Voices is Real World Radio's live show in English. Real World Radio is Friends of the Earth International's community radio station, based in Latin America, and reporting on environmental and social justice struggles around the world. 

Friends of the Earth Europe

We are also part of Friends of the Earth Europe, the largest grassroots environmental network in Europe campaigning for sustainable solutions to benefit the planet, people and our common future.
