Big Ask Scotland Launch with Radiohead
The Big Ask Scotland campaign
was launched at the Radiohead gig on Glasgow Green on the 27 June, to massive media coverage. The campaign aims to make sure the Scottish Climate Change Bill, which is shortly to be considered at Holyrood is effective.
As part of the
Big Ask Europe campaign
, we had a big presence at the gig, and - thanks to our fantastic volunteers - managed to get 1,000 postcards signed which urged Alex Salmond to ensure action on climate change at both Scottish and European levels.
Friends of the Earth Europe, and various national Friends of the Earth organisations, have had a big presence throughout Radiohead's current European tour. Well over 10,000 postcards have been signed urging rapid action on climate change.
We are actively looking for people to get involved with the campaign. There's loads of ways to do this -
